Fish tank style???

At my LFS they have these tanks with built in overflows in the corners there black colored columns, some have 1 some have 2 one in each corner I'm deciding on a 100 gallon tank maybe 125 eithe way for a reef setup are these tanks ok to use, are there better options for an overflow if so what do you suggest, not really bi on that black column in tank but the convience is nice.

I think they're the preferred type of tank. I have my rockwork in the back wall and against the corner overflow, just to hide it a bit. But with my back glass painted black, you don't notice the overflow anyhow.
