Florida sand

So I went to the rock and gravel company today and they had some Florida sand. Its the kind where you can bring your own sand bags and fill them up. I got the bags home and tested it with white vinager and no fiz.......That sucks cause I got about 80lbs for $4.00

You can still use it. Silica based sand won't hurt your system, but it really won't help either.

From what I've read, silcate sands will kill your corals.
