I just bought my first 75G SW tank 2 days ago.

The previous owner has fake rack walls for the back of the aquarium, and he used foam, like the type you buy at Home Depot and the can says
" For cracks and windows "

Is that ok to adhere the fake walls with?

Also, the tank needs quit a bit cleaning

Whats the best method cleaning the glass on the tank and also the Refrigum ?

Does it have any other actual rock in it? If it was my tank I wouldn't use fake anything and look into purchasing some quality love rock. Oh and welcome to the club! Any other questions just ask...

Here is some pictures of the front and back, I'm not sure, but it looks like he just sparyed foam everywhere, then carved it out to look like rocks? It was in his tank for the 6 months they had it set up

Yeah right, I have never seen anything like that before! I always think artificial things don't really look any good in a saltwater tank. Live rocks have such a great natural look and they also can provide most of your natural filtration. Sorry I can't see your original post but what size tank again? Tell us more about the set up, filters? Power heads? Sump?

I'm going to re-configure his set-up

It's a 75 Gallon Rimless Tank, with a 35 Gallon Sump/Refugium

Lighting is T5 Light fixture, Coral Reef bulb's, Blue Bulbs, LED night lights
Looks like the light goes for $189 new, now much

2 Hydor power heads 550GPH

Mini G protien Skimmer in Sump

Stand for tank, I bought everything for $500.00

Now that I bought it all, I don't like his sump/Refugium, so I may just use the 35 Gallon fish tank he was using, and redo the dividers etc, or just buy another tank, and start all over with the sump/refugium

I just bought a RO/Di unit which is coming in this weekend, but I have more to buy for that, before it's up and running

The whole process I figure will take a few months to get everything up and running before I add water to the tank
