I would toss the crushed coral IMO
the worst substraight you can use. This will trap waste making NO3
a issue and you will need to vacuume the surface monthly
in a bag IMO
is a joke as stated in other posts, tell me how anything can live for any lengh of time in a bag? Like lando says no way to really avoid a cycle. Unless you get a lot of cured LR
then you may not get one. In my 55 fowlr
I had no cycle with 60 lbs of cured LR
The only real LS
is from the ocean or a LFS
that has it in there tanks....
If the sand is cheap or free I would get that and toss the CC
and seed the bag sand with real LS
from a LFS
or other reefer.
