| What would be the preferred media for a fuge with a DSB? Would you use the same sand as in the tank, or is there something better? Also, its possible to have the DSB and macro's, etc, in the fuge together right?
Anybody with the 12" aquafuge know how deep you can have the sand bed in one of those things? (i just oreder a couple of days ago and its hard to tell from the pic)
Thanks, Brian

| In a small fuge having a DSB from what I have read will not be a real help because the area is small. I would just go with 2-3" of cheap sand and seed it with sand from your established tank. |

| I have a 4" sand bed in my Aquafuge 12. I used the same sand as I have in the main tank which is Caribbean Sea Aragamax. The inlet side wall is about 4" so unless you want to slope upwards that is the max. I have the inlet side filled with LR rubble and keep macros growing in the main section.

| Ah, good. You can get 4" DSB in a 12" aquafuge. Oh, anybody wants to share what kind of life they keep in thier fuges, flora and fauna, that would be some great help.
phases99: do you know approx how much that fuge weighs once the sand/water is in there?
Thanks everybody, Brian
