Okay so this post has nothing to do with cops, but more to do with algae, in fact completely to do with algae.
We've got some algae growth on our rocks. Is there any sort of good algae
vs bad algae
We've got some brown algae thats growing on the side of the tank. Just a little and no spot is bigger than a quarter. In some places you can hardly tell its there because its so transparent. We've using tap water which, from what i've read here, is the reason that is showing up. That stuff is pretty easy to clean off.
On one of the rocks there is some green hairlike growth. Looks almost like a patch of grass growing on the rock. There have been a couple posts about it recently, but no real identification or cure. Is this bad for the tank or pretty harmless. Its particular attractive, but not ugly either.
Also it looks like on one of the rocks there is a red/orange covering growing over it. Sometimes it looks more red and sometimes it looks more orange. Is this going to hurt the rock/fish/water, etc.
The last is a polyp-y looking guy that has sprouted on some of the rock. Could this a little guy that came with the rock and was just hiding, or is he algae?
I'm going to take some pictures either tonight or tomorrow night to show you.
Any info is appreciated.
