Good silicate remover

i recently got a new light for my tank so that i can grow some polyps which i also feed.

it seems after i added this new light, 65 watt pc onto my 20 gallon tank, my diatom problem is coming back from dead.

i would like to know the name of a product that someone has had success using to remove the silicate from my water w/out cutting down on my light schedule.

i picked up some API phos zorb the other day at the store, needless to say its not done anything, all the water leading to my sump goes through this bag of this stuff and now the diatoms are covering my glass.

The product I use is called "time", they will burn themselves out. I wouldn't sweat it.

GFO - granular ferric oxide. It was developed by water companies to remove arsenic and other heavy metals. It works great for phosphates and silicates too.
