I finally went out and got a protein skimmer. Everything seems to be working fine, but I just want to know... is it ok that it's a REALLY tight fit in my wet/dry? It seems as though the two pumps are right next to each other and the heater is directly on top of one of the pumps.

I plan on splurging on a 20G long for my 90G tank... but don't want to do it just yet.

Let me know... thanks!

as long as you have the return far enough away from the input pump, you should be alright. Just monitor it for any ill effects with having the heater so close.

Are bubbles getting back into the main tank? Do you use baffles? What kind of flow do you have running through it? When you say the heater is on top is it touching or just above? As long as it’s not physically touching it should be fine.
