Ok my question is could I keep three green chromis in a 20 long with a pair of clowns? Or could I do one clown one firefish and the 3 chromis or 1 clown a royal gramma and the chromis? Are any of these stocking lists plausible or am I just dreaming?

I think the chromis are gonna put you over. The pair of clowns and a firefish sound good to me. Or the clowns and the gramma. :)

I would say a you could get away with 4 fish if you have enough liverock and filtration and keep up on the pwc... It all depends on what you want. I would do 1clownfish, 1 firefish, 1, green cromis, 1 gramma. All very hardy fish and easy to take care of.

Four wouldnt be bad if like stated above you keep up on it.

I'm thinking you want a small school of fish though, is that what you were wanting?

Yeah I wouldn't mind a small school I just really like the chromis. Not a big fan of cardinals I just like the way the chromis looks
