ok i have a hair algae problem, what can i do to kill it

also wrong area it will get moved but

tank size? water condition? lighting? tank decor and substrate?

I have it but I remove it manually and thru SAE consumption. I think it looks neat especially in my river tank.

ok, its sw and its 120gal 2 250w mh and 4 65watt pc, water is tap, my r/o is is not hooked up yet (just moved)

Well tap water would be your best bet. How long are you lights on?

Well, besides over feeding the other thing would be it's time to change your lights.

well the light bulbs are 6months old, i turn the mh on at 12 and go off by 8, and pc for 10hours

Tap water is probably your problem. Get the RO unit fixed asap and add a DI section to it too. Then cut your halides down to 6-hours and your pc down to 8-hours. Start dong weekly pwc of at least 10%. If the bulbs are only 6-months old they should still be ok for now. You are protein skimming right?

If it was me I would just take a good scrub brush to it with Sw from the tank.
