Heater ?

I got a heater with the 55 gal I bought. It was from a freshwater setup. There is no name or way to identify it. Should it be safe to use in saltwater? I plan on getting a new heater, but want to use this one to warm up my water so I can cycle.

A heater is a heater. You should be fine.

Well, this one has made me angry either way. It is older than I can even imagine. It won't stay stuck to the side of the tank. If it isn't on the side, it won't heat. Took it out before it burned my house down. I'll get my new one tomorrow after work.
