The plastic shaft isn't broken everything looks good its just loud. Is there a cheap pump I can replace it with?

I bad to use Teflon tape on inlet cause it was overflowing the skimmer

Nothing cheap is any good. ~You have cheap right in your hand. Sicce makes efficient pumps with good air draw.

Well right now I need cheaper. IM gonna have to buy a new hob filter cause this one has a thick layer of stuff on it and I think I'd be better off with a, new one. Then the recalled heater. Now this pump is to loud

Its even louder with the air line hooked to the input of the pump

Ok hooked the airline up. Took the Teflon off the inlet. I'm getting bubbles coming out of the outlet

ok if I block off the fitting on the to of the outlet tube the bubbles stop but its still loud

I don't think you should block off anything. It's supposed to produce bubbles.

the outlet hose pumping water back onto the tank is supposed to bubble? I thought bubbles were bad
