Help removing coralline algae

I'm having troubles fully removing it off my aquarium glass.
I am able to remove it with a piece of plastic, but there is still this lite white circle which I cannot remove.

Have you tried using an old credit card? It's what I use. They seem to work better than any plastic scraper stores sell.
 
I agree a razor blade works but I use a Kent scraper to remove mine. They sell one that has a metal blade and it does a great job.

thats what I use too, the handle is wonderful....
 
Be sure to wash any oil off the razor blades first. They come coated that way to prevent rust. A stiff plastic card as others have suggested might be better since the likelihood of cutting any silicone would be none. Must be tough faced with such a monster as coralline!
