HELP Test results

PH = 8.5 useing the Nytrafin test
PO4 = between the 0 and .5 useing aquarium pharmaceuticals test
NO3 = 0 useing aquarium pharmaceuticals test
NO2 -= 0 useing aquarium pharmaceutical test
NH3 = 0 useing aquarium pharmaceutical test
CA = 520 useing Salifert test
ALK = 1.94 useing Salifert test

just did a 18 gl wc today.

My ? is how would I rise the Alk and lower the CA. Everything about my tank is in my profile.

Mind if I piggyback? I have a well. The Ca is (I think) 180, but my tank is 220, why is this? I have avout 2/3 of CC ( I am replacing the CC w/sand). Is this difference due to the CC?

Age is relative, you are only as old as you act....of course, this works in reverse....

Questions loved, heeded advice greatly appreciated!
