help with new 20 gal saltwater

Hey, I am planning on setting up a 20 gal saltwater with live rock. Right now the gal is a freshwater but I have filters on it that can filter 80 gallons and the guy at my lfs said if it the filters are that much bigger than the tank size then it should be able to filter a saltwater. Anybody have any comments on this or precautions? And I'm wanting to get a snowflake eel but what else could go with it with the space allotted? This will be my first marine if I do so I am a beginner

You might want to rethink the eel in a 20 gallon tank, they have a big bio load and get to big for a 20 gallon tank. You need to check out nano fish Nano Fish
