Last night i noticed that one of my red leg hermits was trying on new shells. I saw him go in and out of two different ones at least 5 different times. This morning I noticed he seemed to pick a new one. Well I come home from work and I guess he changed his mind. He apperantly pulled my other hermit out of its shell and killed him. He is still holding on to the dead crab, and it seems like he is eating it. Should I take the dead one away or will he eat it? Is this normal for hermits to kill there own kind?

He'll eat it,,and the red legs are meanies too..if you don't have enough empty shells they'll definitely start killing for each others

:agree: I am working on getting some bigger shells for me too! My Blue legs are getting bigger and bigger!

Will they only use the same type of shell that they now have? That may be the reason.
