I just bought another 6 lbs of LR today (making my total 36) for my 29 gal tank. I noticed that there is a small hermit crab and a bumblebee snail that came on the rock.

My tank has only been cycling for 3 days now, is there anything i can do to help these guys through the cycle? can i keep them in one of my buckets until the cycle is over? I dont have a QT or anything like that. Maybe put a piece of LR in the bucket with them?

Will your LFS let you keep them in one of their tanks? Maybe you could get some of their water, from an established tank, with some of their substrate and try the bucket method. You will need a heater small ph and some lighting for the bucket. I wouldn't think you will need any type of special lighting.

Good thinking, but you have uncycled water, so it would be almost like keeping them in your tank, through a cycle.
