HOB Refugium

I'm thinking about getting a HOB Refugium for my 40 breeder, but am a little worried about the extra weight on the back since there is no center brace on the tank. Any thoughts?

You could just use a 110 aqua-clear filter. Just add a small little led light on top of it and it works awesome!

I'm no engineering wiz, but I'm thinking the weight of the HOB is pushing down instead of pulling out which shouldn't be a problem. Just my guess on it. Pls do not send lawyers after me if I'm wrong.

as long as you level out the refugium tehre will be minimal pull on the glass. most of the weight will be pressing on the glass

Not fond of aqua clear filters...had one years ago and had problems with it, never did work right. Maybe I got a bad one.
