Hob skimmer broken?

My hob skimmer is making a humming sound and is not making bubbles what is wrong with it.

Have you tried unplugging it? Also, I found with my HOB by plugging up the air intake for a few seconds and then letting it go would prime it...

Ohhh that could be your problem. Dont take offense but I don't hear many good things about them. Hopefully you got it running?

Take apart the pump and inspect the impeller. It sounds like it may be jammed with something. Perhaps a small hermit crab or snail made its way in there.

Any luck Beau? My HOB wasn't working to its capacity for a while and cleaned the impeller out (like Mr X has recommended to you) and found a bunch of small snails in there... Hopefully you can get it working again!

I haven't got a chance to take it apart but hopefully today I will.
