Home Made overflow...
I don't know anything about acrylic. However I was browsing though Wal Mart tonight and I saw that they make these nifty little plastic boxes (knick knack type boxes) Cheap, clear, much like an over flow box. The only trick is to somehow tie the two together to form an overflow box. I figured I could use a j tube (plastic [acronym:25222bc6cb="Plastic pipe"]pvc[/acronym:25222bc6cb]) from Home Depot or Lowes to cut so its a U tube and run a piece of smaller tubing inside of it. The goal is to make an inexpensive overflow for feeding a low flow 10G fuge under the tank.
As goofy as it sounds, if I could come up with a way to join the two boxes...reliably, I would actually implement this..Anyone been down this road? Thanks!

Thanks, I think I stumbled on something thats along the lines of what I was 'envisioning' at Wal Mart..
http://www.reefs.org/library/[acronym:7e6cfa9d2b="Do it yourself"]diy[/acronym:7e6cfa9d2b]/diy_winner1.html Basically, just a couple Lee's specimen boxes do the trick. That was the lip I needed to hang on. Im going to pick up a couple this week and see where I can find nylon nuts/bolts. Then I'll use my own U tube 'design' cause Im looking for a low flow solution. When adding a second smaller overflow, one must be careful not to overwhelm it since the tank level is really controlled by my sump overflow. l8tr

I made an overflow using the Lee speciman containers. I only did the inside the tank box since I had the outer already from a wet/dry purchase. It worked just fine.
Nylon nuts and bolts can be had at any hardware store. I usually get my stuff at Ace Hardware but Home Depot and Lowes should have them.
