Horseshoe crab eat damsel?

Just got a horseshoe crab and put it in the tank with my damsel and clownfish yesterday... And now my damsel is nowhere to be found.. Would the horseshoe crab eat the damsel? There no pieces anywhere. My wife and I are clueless as to what happened...I guess I'd rather my $4 fish disappear than my $20 fish but it still sucks we had that damsel since the tanks inception
