Tank has been up and running (Short of some temperture issue) for about 5 weeks

Should be seeing any signs of algae this soon ?

Only thing in the 29 gal is hermits now (5 visible and 1 hidden or dead)

Just wondering hehehe

alot depends on how much light the algae gets i think. The longer you keep the lights on the sooner you will probally see the algae.

There`s nothing that says you have to have algea. Have a skimmer and keep nitrates low with water changes and you might not have one.

When I first set up my tank(about 3 yrs ago), if I remember correctly my alge bloom happened about week 3 or 4. It was really crazy. Went to work one day when I left the tank was clean, when i got home it was totally covered in algae and a couple of days later it was gone. Strangest thing.

Took 4 weeks for mine to appear..lasted a couple days, went away, came back a few days later, added 10 snails and 10 hermits...tank looks like Mr Clean lives in there now..
