I have more than I need a just this moment and need to know best way to store it, if that is even possible. Thanks.

If your wanting to keep the sand alive I would think you would also need to keep it at or close to the same temp of the tank aswell.

What about selling it to someone local who could use some?

I am going to use it, I just don't have the money to finish my other tank for a little while.

best way i found to keep extra live sand live is to aid a air stone from time to time. try to keep the temp stable and depending no the amount of sand,ad 1 or2 flakes of fish food abought once a week so that the bacteria have something to eat.the bacteria/small critters is what makes it live.if they die then u wind up with dead sand.check the water from time to time and it will be ready when u r.
