How to keep cured rock

I decided to go a different direction with my first sw tank. Ran across a really good deal on cl. I am getting cured live rock out of an established tank how long can i have it sit in a barrel of sw with no flow before it goes bad? or will it? It is going to be a month or so before I get all components needed to get the tank set up.

Don't let it sit stagnant, you will lose it in a day or two tops. Saltwater and flow, that is all you need to keep it from crashing.

At a minimum you want a heater and power head in the barrel.
