How's this setup?

I want to have a 55gal setup with a remora protein skimmer (maxijet-1200) and prefilter, 2 420gph ph's, 4*65watt lights 2*10,000K 2*actinic, 70-90lbs of gulf and/or keys lr, 1" fine sand bed.

Can I put any softies like a mushroom in there (after about 6 months)?

Make your sand depth 6" you won't regret it.

i would say 2-4 inches on the sand bed. 6 inche is a lot

I agree with first timer. A DSB in a tank that size will have no major benefit.
