Okay test all of your levels and see what you have. How long has water been in the tank?

To cycle the tank, you need to add an ammonia source ie a frozen shrimp. Put it in the tank in a net and let it decompose. Once you ammonia and nitrite rise and fall, you need to do some water changes to get nitrate to <10. Then you can add one fish a week.

Is their another source too add ammonia and can I do it to my other tank it's fresh water right now but soon I'll be going to get my salt it's just 2 hours away

Stupid fat fingers.

... Stop by a grocer enroute and buy a single frozen shrimp. Or buy a bag and eat the rest. You could also buy a small bottle of pure ammonia without surfactants. Check by shaking the bottle and quickly look for bubbles. No bubbles are good.

Sweet I live in the middle of know where Kansas and everything is about two hours away or at least a lfs other then freshwater wal-mart
