The spin goes on the inside of the display tank. Take the outtake off, it should just pop right off. I'm not the Innovative Marine fits that model. I have that same model and for what it's worth I hated it on my nano 8 gallon. It kept getting stuck.
They make one specific to your model cube. This one I found to work better although I ended up in the end putting back the stock outtake as I felt those products didn't produce enough flow for my liking.
