I came across this article and though would post, since it not only has documented data information about more efficient ways to correct nutrient imbalances in saltwater tanks, but also shows a different approach about water changes and how often we should have them performed.
I guess a 10% WC performed every two weeks is more than enough, contrary to constant ones done every week and sworn by many hobbyists.
At the same time, if the information here is indeed accurate, many reefers could be spending more $ than needed on salts trying to keep some elements that in reality are not maintained by WC's...

Wow very interesting. I wish I had time to do a water change every week. I will still stick to my bi-weekly changes. Seems to work for me. Good find on the article though.
