Is it ok to put quartz rocks in my salt water tank???thanks

I would think quartz is pretty safe, but you should check it first. Take a bowl of water from your tank and measure all the parameters. Then add the quartz to the bowl, let it sit overnight, and measure the parameters again.

I have a chunk of quartz I broke off a wall at a quartz mine that is not longer in service. I put it in my freshwater tank months ago and have had no problems.

It may not have looked like there were problems but minerals may have leached w/o you knowing. I would do what was mentioned above
