Need to make a fixture. Is it ok to use ABS instead of PVC?

Yes. Most bulkheads are ABS. Just be sure to get the cement for ABS or ABS-PVC as appropriate.

I am really getting sick of the micro bubbles in the DT so I thought I would build a bubble trap from the output of the skimmer. I have a bubble trap in the sump but not working all that well. I've just installed the trap so I guess I'll see how it works after a few hours. Anything else I can do that you can think of?
