Is my live rock still good?

I had a marine tank, but after a long power outage everything died and the tank just kinda sat there. For like six months it had no filter or heater, but it always had water. Is it still alive or should I get new live rock? Please help!

You should be fine using it. I had a friend who threw his LR into a bucket with saltwater when he tore his tank down and used it again like 2 years later. He just let it cure in a big rubbermaid tub for a couple weeks with good water flow before he threw it in his tank. If you just put it in at the start of the cycle you may not even have to do that.

It should be fine, but there will probably be quite a bit of die off so I would let it cure for a while before adding anything.
