Is this a good thing or bad thing?

I just started a 60 gallon saltwater tank first time. I started the cycle on my live rock about a week ago and started seeing seaweed looking stuff and air bubbles on my live rock, is this a good thing or bad?

The algae is diatoms, the bubbles just look like air being released from inside your LR.

It's just part of the cycle. Neither good nor bad really....just a stage a tank must go through.
