lace rock

ok so i got 200 lbs of lace rock for $150 and i was going to add it to my 240 that has good cured live rock in it how long should it take to get it covered with coraline and look as pretty as the rest of the rock? and i know i need to clean the rock but should i put it in a bucket with some cured rock for a week or so to help seed it?
