I have recently replaced the seaclone skimmer. I wanted
to use the seaclone on my 55, but when I hooked it up, the
botttom connection is leaking badly. Does anyone know how
this can be fixed?
Thanks for the help..

I would replace the nylon tubing, I think it takes 5/8s or 3/4's tubing. The tubing that connects it should only be a couple inches long.

i found that they will leak if ya dont get the pump and tube just right mine did as well and was brand new move the skimmer tube or pump closer in or out and it should stop !!! but also they work much better in a sump for sure !!!

thanks guys, I couldnt get it adjusted so it would not leak..so......
I used the equivalent of aquaria duct tape, SILICONE! hehehehe
no more leak.

I have found that a plastic wire tie used like a hose clamp at each fitting works well to keep the leaks at bay. I recently bought a used Seaclone that leaked at every joint and this was all it took to stop the leaks.

i had one that leaked at the bottom as well so what i did was screwed a 2x4 to the back of my stand so the skimmer had something to rest on and problem solved no more leak.
