Led Refugium lighting?

If i were to add a refugium to my sump will this double bright marineland light be sufficient for the macroalgae growth?

Thats seems like overkill . I use a 6500k swirly bulb from home depot in a clamp lamp and that works great.

If you've got it on hand & you're not using it, yes it'll be fine as long as you're not putting it over a 5g sump lol. but if you have to buy it, then just do what honda suggested

Yea this is the light that i had on my tank when it was freshwater so it is just laying around now that i have started my reef
If i don't sell it i will probably just use it for me Refugium then

It'll def work for a fuge. I have a JBJ nano glow LED for mine.

I'm using LED lighting on my Fuge....it all depends on the color spectrum of your LEDs. Mine are 6500K so if you are 10,000-5500K you will be fine for Macro growth.
