What is the ideal lighting for a reef tank

You can combine all your threads into one thread. If your just starting out like me you'll have better luck then every question starting with a thread.

What size are you looking at? What are your goals? Fish only? Corals? LR? LS? Everyone here is willing to help but there gonna need more info.

Just trying to help.

Good luck.

Thanks convict, shoulda mentioned. Well im getting a roughly 110 litre tank, i want to probs start off with just FOWLR and then move onto corals and inverts. And also if u know what are the ideal starter starfish and inverts ? And easy corals

Its a cube? :/ this is for a tank i want to get, but its not elongated or anything, straightup cube :)

Right, but we still need to know the dimensions so we can size up a fixture. Height, width, and depth front to back.

I would use either a LED pendant, or a metal halide pendant over that tank.
T5s won't give you the coverage and the fixture won't look good over a cube either. Maybe a 150 watt halide pendant would be ok for most if not all things.
