What's reasonable to you. Lighting will be your biggest expense most likely, and the par bulbs I already referred you too are on the cheap end as far as reef lighting is concerned

Edit: reefkoi's par38 is $80 I believe and has a nice 20k look
 
Yes you did but I'm thinking more of a panel than on screw in bulb thanks for your suggestion though
 
One more thing how many wats or whatever would you need to grow realy any coral
 
A panel like the Taos will be overkill on that small of a tank, and tough to find for $100. IMHO a par38 would give you exactly what your looking for, and will grow anything you want in a 5.
 
The medium is 24 watts and fits a 5.5 perfectly in inches but will that be strong enough
 
That's a fuge light, it's for macros and it's not gonna work for corals. You could do a cool macro tank though
