I'm getting a new 75 gal with overflow tomarrow to upgrade my 20 gal.
I have a 24" jalli PC with 1 actinic 03 and 10k light. I will be incorportating this over to my 75 ( all actinics 03's ) My question is a single 400w MH 10k light enough for the whole tank or should I get more.

Another question same thread... what is a used 400w MH setup worth roughly ballast and new bulb?

Tank dimentions are 48*18*20

Thanks in advance

You need 1 MH for every 2 ft of tank length so you would need to add 1 more.

Although you can use 400 watt bulbs, I would probably go with 250's. I think you'll be able to keep anything you wanted to under a 2x250w setup and you'll have a bit less heat to contend with. Not really sure about used prices...check Ebay. I would suggest electronic ballasts if you can get them.

I have two 250 watt 10k and two 55 watt actnic03 ..

I want to switch to hamilton 14 k bulbs to make it a little more blue.

Good Luck Dewey
