I have now got my 46 gal bow front up and running, It's a fo tank, no live rocks, no corals.

My question is this, I turn the lights off at night, and then in the morning I turn them back on, My fish seem jumpy for a while when I turn them back on, Is this normal since they are new to the tank or should I leave the lights on all the time?

It is actually normal to be a bit skiddish when the lights first come on as well as the fish being in new surroundings. Since this is an FO tank, you may want to let the ambient room light come up a bit in the morning before turning on the light, mabye and hour or two after sunsrise. It could be that they are going from darkness to instant light (depending on when the lights come on) and shocking them a bit.

Do not leave the lights on 24/7. The fish need a down time just like we do to remain healthy...

Cheers
Steve
