How long should the light cycle be??

I have a 55 gal with 4 vho lights putting out 95w a piece.

I also have moon lights set up from the DIY guide on here for moonlights with leds.

I like 10hours on per day.

8-12 hours depending on if you can control the heat. Shouldn't be a problem with fluorescent bulbs.

It is a good practice to have a phasing of your lights of some sort, turn your actinics on one hour before your whites, and leave them on one hour after.

I have vho bulbs also. I run mine about 10-11 hours a day.
