my tank for now is just fish only with live rock or it will be it is still cycling agian I got new lights what is the proper way to turn the lights on like the blue at one time then the daylights and the same this as for turnning them off thank you

well most people here and i all turn on the blue first. i have the blue go on 1 hour before the white ones gos on and then in the night the white turn off one hour before the blues. i give the tank a 12 hour time period with the lighs on. that is 12 hours that the blue is on.

If you have multiple ballasts then ya the actinics first and then the whites and then the whites off and then the actinics off.

If you have only one ballast then you really dont have much of an option.
