My ammonia part of the liquid test kit has transparent drops, I just began cycling so there's no ammonia but why isn't it coming up as that green color of 0? Like it's just clear.

The liquid test kit. The one with the vials, and chemicals.

I'm using the SW in my tank. It was declorinized before I added the salt.

Regular tap. Then treated with a declorinizer. Waited 24 hours. Then added salt

Did you use both bottles of testing solution? If you don't add the second 8 drops then youll end up with no color.

you can try testing your tap water, may have some in it.

also did you add anything else to your tank that was from another tank?

LMFAO! Thank you! I did not know that! I thought it was. Just an extra bottle! Thanks! Haha

test the water right from your tap, could already be in there.

Also did you add anything from another tank?

I went thru the same thing. LOL Then it turned out my bottles were expired. I bet you get a result now ;-)

Haha. Yeah i'll take a test right now. Wow. That makes sense. It only came with one nitrate bottle! I thought they were just to cheap to give me another with the pack! Hahah

Nitrite and ph require one bottle of solution. Ammonia, nitrate and phoshate off the top of my head are double concoctions
