Live Rock and Base Rock?

Since live rock is so expensive, I wanted to get mostly plain base rock, and then a bit of live stuff to seed it. My question is, where can I get rock to use for this, and what type of rock would work best? Thanks in advance!

You don't need any live rock at all if you don't want. You can use entirely base rock and it will become live on it's own in a short time. "Bulk reef supply" sells rock as well as "marco rocks".

I'm very fond of my rock from reefrocks.net... and it's the cheapest I've found at $85 shipped for 50lbs
