Live Rock Hitchhiker

So I bought an additional 7-lbs of live rock today! My first 17-lbs were bought at one local LFS so today I went to another LFS to try and find some variety.

In talking to the shop owner, I asked him about an anemone looking creature on some of my current live rock and he said that was bad, that it is Aiptasia. He said the other LFS shouldn't have sold me the live rock with those on it.

We continued to talk and he said I could use chemicals to control it and that's about all I could do - but then he said once thru my cycle I could ad a shrimp and he would eat these Aiptasia.

So just how bad is this at the start of my aquarium?

It's not that bad at all and something that just about everyone goes through.

Thanks for the link! Looks like a Peppermint Shrimp may do the job ... if not I may try that boiling water injection method.
