I have been cycling my tank for about 2 and a half weeks and i am starting to get brown sand right in front of my live rock.
Is this right during cycling, will it pass.

I know i ran in to it in my old tank but i dont remeber it sticking around.
Please help.

Its not that big of a deal because i still have about another month or so of cycling so plenty of time to find more information.

Tank
60 gallon tank
10 gallon sump
Scimmer
heater
normal fluoral lights with coralife 50/50(36 inch 30 watts, and Actinic 36 inch 30 watts
3 powerheads
about 100 lbs of live rock
2 inch sand bed
and to little mean blue devil damsels

With 100 lbs of LR I doubt you're going to cycle for another month, or is it uncured?

Diatoms most likely. They will fade, just in time for the green algae's to take over. :D No worries, all part of the normal maturing process.

could be because of silica in your water, try using RO or deionized water, that should help it clear up quicker.

Very normal. Seems to show up at the tail end of the cycle and can hang around for long enough that you think it is a serious problem. Keep regular maintenance going and it will go away eventually.
