im thinking of starting a ten gallon salt water tank to learn have expeariance with freshwater and want to try salt...what are some fish that will do good in a ten gallon tank and someideas on what all i can do with this small of a tank(y)

I would have 2 fish. A Pygmy wrasse and a firefish or goby. Do you want this to be reef or FOWLR?

im thinking reef im just not sure what would be the difficalty level of reef

I'm sure you've heard this already but everyone I talk to says go bigger for your first salt tank. The larger the water volume the longer it takes for problems to manifest and gives you more time to react. Bigger tanks are easier and more forgiving I'm told.

The downside to a bigger tank is more cost of rock and salt.

Kinda like learning to drive on a motorcycle starting with a small tank :)

I would consider a small clown goby and possibly a firefish or cardinal since they don't swim much.

Reefs really don't have to be difficult, just require strong light. Start with soft coals such as zoas and mushrooms
