okay so i need to lower salinity its way high (1.032)
what kind of water should i buy i think its spring water but im not sure and do i just dump it right in or do i need to add declorifier like amquel?

Get RO/DI like mentioned above. If not then get RO or distilled. Take about a half gallon out every day and replace with fresh till it gets to where you want it. How did it get so high anyway?

the guy at the lfs told me to put in 1 1/4 cups per 2 gallons

You need to measure the SG as you add the salt mix. Do you have a refractometer or at least a hydrometer? The salt mixes vary from type to type and even batch to batch from what I've seen so the directions may not yield the SG you are aiming for. I always add less than the minimum directions and bring it up gradually from there. It's easier for me to add salt than it is to add water. Top offs need to be made using RO.
