making a cabbage frag stick

I am not sure if this is in the right section, but it seemed like a good place to me. I just got back from the fish store. I bought a branching hammer. while looking in the other coral tanks, I noticed a piece of cabbage coral lying on the sand by the big one. It looks like it just fell of or something. Anyway, I asked the guy about it and he said that I could have it no charge. So what I was wondering is what is the best way to get it to stick it to the rock. He suggested the toothpick trick, so that is what I did. Right now they are both acclimating. I hope that it survives.
