Mangroove plants are not sprouting

Greetings,

Here comes another barrage of question and thank you for all your help. I planted two plants in my sump (roots buried in sand) and after a month I have yet to see any sign of life on these. The tip is 3 " above water level. Anyone can chime in on this? Thanks DP

I believe they do better suspended in the water but they need constant trimming and care and do take a while to grow....I read that a few years back and used to have a link but hopefully someone can educate us.
