marineland bio wheel into refugium

I was thinking about purchasing a marineland bio wheel 350 filter and was wondering if it could be turned into a refugium. Anyone have any advice on how to do it? Also if I do will I need another filter to be my main filtration

its a little to small but sure you can put chaeto and let it do its work

What would b a good light. And how could I keep the chaeto from going over into my display tank?

a small LED strip light will work fine for that size fuge

I found an old aqua tech 5-15 filter that came with the tank when I got it. I might just use that as the fuge and then get another filter as my main filtration.

Also if I buy 15 lbs of base rock and 5 lbs of live rock how long will it take to seed? Would I be better off just buying all live for 15 dollars more?
